Having 3 teenage daughters, I can relate. All the messages are true but at this moment I can identify with “You are going to make mistakes” (and I want to add: sometimes, BIG ONES), followed by “Forgive Yourself.”
Thanks for sharing!
I just have regular hormones right now too…..and that made me weep. What a beautiful video. So many of those things are true…so so SO many. I think my favorite “poster” was about taking time to fall in love with your baby. It took me awhile to do that….I wish I did it sooner. My whole world changed when I fell in love.
The sleep deprivation made me laugh too…:*)
PS – I was pregnant along with Penelope the first go-around….I stopped comparing myself to her WAY early….:*)

Hi, Erin. I’ve been reading you for years but have never posted before. Warmest congratulations on your pregnancy! I’m 6 weeks on the other side of my first child’s birth. This video made me weep and was exactly what I needed to see today. I think I’m going to watch it every day for a while!
Clearly I'm starting to get my appetite back since everything I love is food-related. These totally fall under the "halo effect" category as they aren't actually healthy but oh man are they awesome. At 4 points for 22 of them, I don't have them in the house too often.
Mio Sweet Tea
I feel fairly confident that I am not supposed to like this stuff, as it's not anything found in nature, but God help me, I do. I'm not a punch/sweet drinks person, and I can't eat much in the way of sweets for the time being, but I kind of love the sweet tea version.
Don Lee Farms Veggie Patties
These are the most amazing veggie burgers on the planet. Nothing else has ever come close. Even better, it doesn't try to be fake meat, which I mostly hate. I get mine at Costco.
Amazing Grass Green SuperFood
I drink this every night before I go to bed. All I know is that I feel better as a result. The taste isn't for everyone but I like it enough. Probably not the ringingest endorsement but whatever. I love it.
I can’t blame hormones – but I teared up too.
I especially like “imperfect is the new perfect.”
Beautiful! Gave me chills. My favorite: “Nobody knows what they’re doing.” <3
Yup, this made me cry and I just have regular hormones.
The sign about parents surviving sleep deprivation was encouraging. I’m not sure I believe it, but we’ll see!
I’m not hormonal nor a mother, but I cried all the same. Especially at “you will miss your mom”. As a motherless daughter that hit me good!
